#1 - SOURCE OF JOY: All joy comes from the Lord. Joy is supplied to us by the Lord. Joy belongs to the Lord. We cannot receive joy except released to us by God.
#2 - JOY, A FRUIT OF THE HOLY-SPIRIT: Joy is one of the fruits of the spirits. Joy is made available to believers through the Holy Spirit. Joy is received through communion with the Holy Spirit.
#3 - JOY IS A FRUIT OF SALVATION: One of the fruits of salvation is joy. There’s a joy that a comes with salvation experienced by those who are saved with a firm hope of spending eternity with Jesus. (Isaiah 12:3)
#4 - JOY FOR WORSHIP: In joy, we can successfully enter into worship. Worship is impossible without joy.
#5 - INDICATORS OF JOY: Words of mouth are ways we can tell the presence of joy in a person’s life for not. (Proverbs 15:23)
#6 - JOY IS A WEAPON: The joy of the Lord gives the believer strength for victory. (Nehemiah 8:10) There is no success in spiritual warfare when joy is not present. Joy is a potent weapon against the enemy
#7 - FALSE JOY: False joy is sourced from the world; from people, materials, family, friends and every other thing but God. It is short-lived. (Job 20:5)
#8 - JOY FOR PRAYERS: Prayer requests are to be made joyfully. (Philippians 1:4)
#9 - JOYFUL LIVING IS A KINGDOM LIFESTYLE: A lifestyle of joy in the Holy-spirit is required of all believers. Joy is not found in feasting but in Jesus through the Holy Spirit(Romans 14:17)
#10 - JOY MUST REMAIN IN US AT ALL TIMES: In times of tests and trials, we must not let go of God’s joy. (James1:2)
